The Take It Back™ Philosophy
Reclaim your thoughts. Reset your focus. Transform your impact.

Take It Back™ is a simple idea with the power to change how we think, how we lead, and how we serve. When individuals, businesses, and communities reclaim the values that matter most, everything around them moves forward.
From the Stage
Simone shares the Take It Back™ Philosophy from conference stages in front of senior-focused industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and senior-focused vendors nationwide.
Her message is a simple one: you can have an entire playbook, but for that playbook to operate correctly, it takes the right mindset to implement it and succeed. That mindset is Take It Back™.
Where It Began
The Take It Back™ Philosophy was developed by entrepreneur, broker, franchisor, franchisee and 7-time founder Simone Kelly. Unlike most business philosophies, Take It Back™ did not begin in business.
It evolved while raising her two sons. Kelly often encouraged them to recognize negative thoughts, limiting beliefs, and destructive words before they became part of who they were. Rather than accepting negativity, she challenged them to "take it back" and replace it with a healthier thought, a better attitude, or a more positive action.
Over time, she realized those same lessons extended far beyond the home. The same principles that shape strong families also shape strong businesses, organizations, industries, communities, and leaders. Today, the Take It Back™ Philosophy serves as a reminder that our greatest opportunities often begin by taking back the values that matter most.
What Does Take It Back™ Mean?
Take back integrityTake back professionalismTake back accountabilityTake back kindnessTake back curiosityTake back respectTake back collaborationTake back the willingness to listenTake back the focus on serving others
Take back the courage to share knowledge instead of protecting it, and the understanding that no one person, business, platform, certification, association, or organization has all the answers.
Take It Back™ is not about looking backward. It is about reclaiming the principles that help individuals, businesses, and communities move forward together.
A Philosophy for Life, and for Work
The Take It Back™ Philosophy is not limited to one profession or one industry. It is a philosophy for families, schools, businesses, nonprofit organizations, associations, corporations, and communities. Its message is simple: every person has the opportunity to replace division with collaboration, ego with humility, competition with cooperation, and negativity with purpose. Small changes in thinking often create the biggest changes in outcomes.
For professionals and entrepreneurs, the philosophy asks for a particular kind of courage: the confidence to refer. When another professional is better suited to serve, entrusting the work to them is not a loss but a discipline. It honors the client, strengthens the bonds between professionals, and frees each of us to practice the work we have mastered, and to offer it to more of the people who need it.
The same discipline applies to doubt. When we have done the research, tested our thinking, and earned credibility in our profession, and doubt still finds its way in, we take it back, and return to the mindset the work has already justified. Positivity brings positivity. Negativity brings negativity. Which one we carry into the room is a choice, and it is ours to make every day.
Why Seniornicity Embraces Take It Back™
Seniornicity embraces the Take It Back™ Philosophy because serving others begins with what we choose to reclaim in ourselves. We take back our confidence so families can trust the guidance we give. We take back our fears so hard conversations are met with honesty. We take back our kindness so every senior feels seen, heard, and respected. We take back our collaboration so no family navigates a transition alone.
When we as professionals take back our confidence, our fear, and our insecurities, it naturally flows to the people we choose to work with. A senior or family member feeling loss, scared, and alone can draw on our positivity, confidence, and fearlessness, and feel safe, unafraid, and protected by the knowledge, experience, and network of professionals we coordinate for them.
And when we bring our best, seniors can take back theirs.
Take back their independence.
Take back their confidence.
Take back their peace of mind.
Take back the freedom to choose what comes next.
Take it back. Then pay it forward.
That is the heart of Seniornicity. When we take back the values that matter most, we help seniors and their families do the same. The Take It Back™ Philosophy was created by Simone Kelly.
