Seniornicity is intentionally both B2B and B2C. The professional network is what makes the consumer experience possible: professionals join, connect and are organized into one coordinated community, and older adults and families then draw on that community when they need it. Seniornicity includes a searchable national directory of senior-focused professionals as part of that broader ecosystem. With roughly 50 senior-focused professions in the marketplace, a single transition can involve 4 to 6 of them at once. Seniornicity exists to bring those professionals together around one older adult, one plan and one family.

Older adults and families use Seniornicity to search the directory for providers by category and location, participate in The Seniornicity Community, attend local events, connect with a local chapter, and receive Seniornicity Transition Consulting, working with a Seniornicity Transition Consultant who builds a plan with them and connects the right professionals.

How Seniornicity Helps Older Adults and Families

There are five primary ways an older adult or family uses Seniornicity. They can be used on their own or together.

Consumers can search the Seniornicity directory of senior-focused professionals by category and geography. Provider profiles show the professional's services, service cities, contact details, and any Seniornicity badges or certifications that provider has completed. A Canada provider search is also available.

2. Seniornicity Transition Consulting

Families can work directly with Seniornicity for personalized planning and coordination through Seniornicity Transition Consulting. A Seniornicity Transition Consultant listens first, helps the family clarify goals and needs, builds a plan with them, and connects the right professionals at the right time. In higher service tiers, that consultant provides ongoing coordination, communication, follow-up and continuity. Consultations may be available in person, by telephone, or by Zoom. Families can schedule a consultation online.

3. Local chapters

Local chapters create a community-based layer of trusted professionals, events and local resources in a specific geographic market. Chapter pages list the cities served, chapter members by category, upcoming events and local senior resources.

4. Community

Older adults, families and professionals can participate in The Seniornicity Community, a dedicated space on the Seniornicity platform for questions, local updates, provider posts and education. Consumers can create a free account to join.

The stages often overlap, families move between them at their own pace, and no family requires every service listed. The framework exists so that families and professionals share one map of the journey.

What is a Senior Transition Specialist (STS™)?

A Senior Transition Specialist is a senior-focused professional who has completed Seniornicity's proprietary STS training and certification. The STS credential is designed to help professionals understand the broader senior-transition ecosystem beyond their own profession: the other providers a family will need, the ethics of serving older adults, the timelines a transition follows, and the standards Seniornicity expects of its members.

Professionals who may earn the STS include real estate professionals, caregiver agencies, senior placement advisors, estate sale professionals, financial professionals, lenders, property managers, move managers, physical and occupational therapy professionals, home safety professionals, and other senior-focused providers. The certification is available online and self-paced or through in-person training. Chapter Members receive the STS as part of their membership. Certified providers display a verifiable STS badge on their Seniornicity profile.

The STS is professional education and certification in senior transitions. It does not replace an occupational or professional license, and it does not authorize a professional to provide services outside the scope of their professional qualifications. A Realtor with the STS is still a Realtor; a caregiver agency with the STS is still a caregiver agency. The credential signals that the professional has been trained to work as part of a coordinated team around an older adult.

What is a Seniornicity Transition Consultant (STC)?

Seniornicity Transition Consulting is the service an older adult or family receives from Seniornicity. A Seniornicity Transition Consultant (STC) is the individual working with the older adult and family: the consultant gets to know the family, helps them understand their goals and identify their needs, develops a transition plan together with them, and connects appropriate senior-focused professionals. In higher service tiers, that consultant provides ongoing coordination, communication, follow-up and continuity, helping to keep the transition plan moving.

The family remains at the center of every decision. The consultant coordinates; the family chooses.

A Seniornicity Transition Consultant does not replace attorneys, financial advisors, medical professionals, real estate professionals, caregiver agencies, placement professionals or other licensed or specialized professionals, and does not make professional decisions on the family's behalf. Each professional remains the expert within their own profession. The consultant's role is to organize those professionals around one plan so the family is working with the right people at the right time.

The two roles are distinct. A Senior Transition Specialist (STS) is a certified provider in the network. A Seniornicity Transition Consultant (STC) is the individual who builds and coordinates a family's plan and connects the family to those providers.
