The Seniornicity Community is the social layer of the Seniornicity platform. It is where a daughter can ask who helps with a move in Huntington Beach and hear back from professionals who work there, where a caregiver agency shares what it is seeing this season, and where a local chapter posts its next education event. It is geo-mapped, so members see the people and providers in their own area first, and public posts and events are open to read, so families can look around before they join. Everyone in the Community either serves older adults or is helping one. That is the difference between this space and a general social network: posts are organized by location and category, professionals are identified by their Seniornicity profile and badges, and Sam, Seniornicity's digital guide, and Seniornicity Transition Consulting are built in. ## Who you will find there ### Older adults and families People planning ahead for themselves, and adult children, spouses, friends and neighbors helping Mom or Dad through a transition. They ask questions, follow local professionals and chapters, and post needs, often with Sam's help. ### Senior-focused professionals Real estate professionals, senior lenders, caregiver agencies, senior placement advisors, estate sale professionals and move managers, financial and legal professionals, property managers and other providers who serve older adults. Their posts carry their company name, categories and any Verified, STS or chapter badges they have earned, and each post links back to their Seniornicity profile. ### Local chapters Where a Seniornicity local chapter exists, the chapter itself has a voice in the Community, sharing meetings, events, education sessions and resources for the cities it serves. Chapter Members appear together so a family can see the local team at a glance. Professionals, on the other hand, appear with their company name, categories and earned badges, so a family always knows who they are talking with. Posts express the views of the people who write them, and each professional holds their own license and speaks for their own practice. Posts and events are mapped to the places they belong to, and members see their own area first. In cities served by a Seniornicity local chapter, a family can view the chapter's members, meetings and events together, and Chapter Members are the first professionals a family meets. Where a chapter has yet to open, the national directory and the nearest Seniornicity Transition Consultant are still a click away. ## Sam lives here [Sam](https://seniornicity.com/sam?hsLang=en), Seniornicity's digital guide, is part of the Community. A family can tell Sam what is happening with Mom or Dad, shape a plan together, and let Sam post the need in the Community under a first name only so that senior-focused professionals in the area can respond. The family can also reach any provider directly, or book a complimentary consultation with a Seniornicity Transition Consultant. ## For senior-focused professionals Members use the Community to share updates, education and local news, answer family questions, and build referral relationships with professionals in other specialties. Posts are visible within the Community and show your first name or a display name you choose.
